WELCOME TO PEOPLE HELPING THE COMMUNITY (PHTC) MEETUP!  

PHTC is an active group of individuals who have the common interest to help those in need. Our members will team up with other organizations from all over Los Angeles to provide support wherever it's needed.  We are active, and provide a variety of monthly volunteer events from feeding the homeless, trips to orphanages, visiting senior centers, Reading to Kids, Habitat for Humanity, and other great events. 

 

We are a dedicated group of individuals who really enjoy helping others! We sometimes get together with other meetup groups and create fun activities.  We'd love for you to join us if you have a giving heart and would like to give back.  Thank you for your commitment to serve!


Welcome Volunteer Superstars,

Thanks for your interest. Please upload a personal photo of yourself to your profile.  No body shots or postage sized photos, we need a clear photo and nothing anything other than a picture of yourself.  This helps us identify and find you at volunteer events when we are onsite at large community events.

PHTC Member Participation Policy:

*If you RSVP “Yes” please do not be a “no show”!  The organizations we support count on our support and participation and we need yours, so please only RSVP if you know you can attend.  Our events often reach capacity quickly, so kindly remove your RSVP by the deadline date so others can attend. 

Event hosts and organizers will collect a $3 donation from each participant at each event.  These funds will be used for an end of the year event for the children of 5 Acres Orphanage.

All events are individual sign ups...no plus ones, each person must be a member of PHTC and sign up individually to fully participate in any and all PHTC volunteer events.  We have had folks in the past say they were bringing guests and at the last minute cancel, leaving the group and more importantly, the host organization in a bind.  Again, the organizations really count on the number we say we are going to bring, so please, don't be a no show.
