Our 1st Meetup for 2014!

  • March 21, 2014 · 7:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

(1) Overview of Preparedness.  Larry Borland will lead a discussion (interactive with group members) on the many facets of Preparedness. Meant to stimulate honest reflection by the attendees regarding actual preparedness for the spectrum of disasters that can occur.  Detailed handouts and recommendations for web sites.

Dave Powell will lead a discussion on Risk Analysis and Preparation Levels - I have written this to assist in 'getting your head around' the issue of Preparedness.  Important factors to consider are not only the type and severity of an event, but the sociopolitical reaction to it. Please check out the article here:

(2) Food & Water.  Dave Powell will present and lead a discussion on this most basic of preparedness.  We will have some samples of Mountain House freeze dried foods.

(3) Medical Emergencies:  Larry Borland (a pediatric anesthesiologist also ATLS certified) will introduce and discuss issues regarding medical preparedness. Recommended survival pack lists as well as suggestions on training.

In addition to the freeze dried food samples we will have some light snacks and beverages - but if you want diet soda you should bring it :)

A NON PROFIT organization. www.carnicominstitute.org is years of research into the NON natural parasites that are being put into what is referred to as "ChemTrails". thank you. Please take a moment to visit that website. I believe Clifford and the other researchers to be good and honest people.

Oh man. This would come during a week of heavy political action here in northeast Ohio. Sorry I will not be able to make it. But anyone who can...should.

There are so many facets of preparedness that I am concerned about an open topic meeting. I am also very interested in the seed issue and perhaps this does fit into the water/food issue.

That was a meetup suggestion, not a planned one, but if you or anyone else would like to bring some seeds I'd be happy to swap! Also, if anyone has a favorite item for "show and tell" please feel free to bring that as well.

Will there be a see swap taking place? I thought this was the original intent of this meeting.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
