Operation Stump for Paul--Iowa! Please check out this effort to help win Iowa! The grassroots organization rp2012.org is helping to recruit individuals to be Precinct Leaders and to give two minute speeches at the 1,784 precincts of the Iowa caucuses. This seems me to be an essential function in winning Iowa!!! In 2008, former Republican candidate for Congress, John Dennis (who attempted to go up against Pelosi for her seat in Congress), along with another Ron Paul supporter gave a 2 minute speech at one of the Iowa precinct caucuses (this was because they found that there was no Precinct Leader for Ron Paul present at the caucus they were attending). They started off with 6 Ron Paul supporters, and they converted 14 others to vote for Ron Paul,
resulting in a tie with Mike Huckabee (the Iowa Caucus winner) in that precinct! Dennis points out that in 2008 there were about 500 precincts in Iowa that had no Precinct Leader to give a speech for Congressman Paul...
They are also holding a contest to submit inspiring 2 minute speeches in support of Ron Paul on Youtube...
Please check out the website for Operation Stump for Paul--Iowa to watch brief videos and learn more about this effort: http://rp2012.org/osfp/
Note: rp2012.org also has a phone from home program for grassroots volunteers, but I am not recommending taking part in that because the official campaign already has a Phone from Home Program that seems to be very effective and well organized! Ron Paul himself has said that, besides financial donations to the campaign, there's nothing we can do to help more than to take part in the Phone from Home Program.
And please consider making your most generous donation to the campaign. The campaign needs money to flood Iowa & New Hampshire with advertisements to bypass the establishment media blackout! The TV ads this time around are much better than in 2008, and the campaign seems to be much better organized! The next big "money bomb" is Dec. 16, 2011--the Anniversary of the Boston Tea Party! https://secure.ronpaul2012.com/

To start off, I'd like to share some resources to get everyone on the same page.
First, I've written an article that hopefully can get us all in apples-to-apples discussions. I wrote it because you'll see some people talking about food storage or whatever, then the Mad Max crew comes in with 'you just need guns and ammo' kind of talk.
Fact is, it totally depends upon the reactions of your fellow citizens whether or not a major disaster turns into Mad Max or not. The article outlines 5 different types of disasters, their severity, and the (all important) human reaction to the disaster:
