Wow - glad to be of service!  I'm getting 2 totes, but go my emails mixed up so I'm paying more...BUT they came with pro kitchen sanitizer in them, by definition clean, so I won't have to clean out any oil residue, and getting them delivered - worth the extra cost, or at least that's what I'm telling myself :)

Still WAY cheaper than getting 5 55G barrels, or that big tall one...the only thing is, I won't be able to fit them in my house...I'm thinking of getting some of these for the basement for $14 each down Rt. 30:

up for a trip in your truck? :P

Dave,
Great find on the 275 gallon totes. I picked one up today (would have gotten 2 but I couldn't fit both of them in the bed of my truck.  I have a 6-ft bed with a tool box.   2 should fit in an 8-ft bed but you may have to leave the tailgate down so bring some cargo straps.   Aaron was a super nice guy to deal with.
The totes had either olive oil or balsamic vinegar. You can pick which one you want. I chose the vinegar, thinking it may be easier to clean. The nice thing about these totes is that they only weigh about 60lbs empty and are strong enough to stack 2 high when full.
Aaron said he gets about 60-70 of these a month so it sounds like there will be plenty to go around.
I'm taking my trailer next week and picking up a few more for me and a friend.
I almost had myself talked into dropping $600 for one another storage system. You email was perfect timing.
Thanks again!!!

I've also been researching water storage, and found a local source for food grade IBC (275 gallon tanks on a pallet w/metal cage supporting everything) containers for $60:

Contact Aaron @ [masked]

Similar capacity would cost hundreds more and take up much more space if you bought 5 of these @ $95

This one is well-reviewd, but expensve @ 429 + $250 in shipping, but is designed to fit through interior house doors:
