A few comments.
FAVOR A " FLAT TAX" ? By definition, a flat tax is a tax who's rate is the same for everyone. The Fair "sales" tax then by definition, IS a flat tax. It is just a flat tax on consumption rather than income. In fact, since the fairtax reaches everyone, it is more of a flat tax than the current flat tax proposed. Everyone knows that less than 50% of Americans pay any income tax. On the other hand, ALL will be involved in the FairTax system, including rich, poor, illegals, underground cheaters, tourist from other countries, making the burden less on each individual. And that's just one advantage of the Fair "sales" Tax...there are many others...
THINK THIS MAJOR CHANGE TO OUR TAX STRUCTURE CAN'T HAPPEN? Be aware that along with Rep Rob Woodall (TX) who is the current sponsor of "The FairTax Plan", there are 73 current Congress members that have already signed as cosponsors of HR 25 in the House. Along with the sponsor Sen. Saxby Chambliss (GA), there are 8 Senators who currently cosponsor S122 (the companion Senate FairTax proposal). In case you are interested, that is the largest number of cosponsors any revenue bill has ever had prior to coming out of the W & M committee, in history! Be aware the number of cosponsors has climbed every year since HR 25 was first introduced in 1999. Be aware that the Ways & Means chairman Rep Dave Camp has promised tax reform is coming soon, and FairTax language has been included in EVERY House Budget Resolution by his committee since 2011.
The Civil Rights movement took 25 years to pass as well as Women's Sufferage. We've only been working for 14 years on HR25,the FairTax proposal, and already there could be a light shinning at the end of the D.C. Tunnel. You know you have them running scared when during the IRS scandal, we recently found out the term "fairtax" was on the hit list of words for the IRS to use when determining whos 503c 3 & 4 tax status applications should be delayed or denied. They do not want the FairTax to gain momentum, or publicity in any way.
WE HAVE TO BRING THE FAIRTAX AND ITS SIMPLICITY, PROGRESSIVENESS, VISIBILITY, PEOPLE POWER AND CONTROL INTO THE LIGHT! YOU WANT TO REIGN IN THE SIZE AND SPENDING OF GOVERNMENT WHILE RETURNING US TO THE ORGINIAL CONSTITUTION ARTICLE 1 sec 8, THEN THE TIME IS NOW!
The truth about the FairTax and its people power must be told. We can't allow the information on the Fairtax to be twisted by those that lied to us about Obama Care. There is not one single issue in today's political, economic, social or moral arena that is not positively affected by implementing the Fair "Sales" Tax, and closing down the income tax and the IRS entirely.
