March 2013 Hacking Session Open Invitation (SLUG)

Suncoast Linux Users Group has asked us to join them

for the March 2013 Hacking Session.

Definition: (2) hack [very common]

  1. n. Originally, a quick job that produces what is needed, but not well.
  2. n. An incredibly good, and perhaps very time-consuming, piece of work that produces exactly what is needed.

Come join your fellow geeks for an afternoon of social coding.

SLUG has been running hacking sessions for a few years now, and the steam is starting to pick up. As an act of community we have been invited to join in the effort of creativity. The event is officially three and a half hours, but everyone is welcome to stay longer.

No laptop, no problem - offer to assist others or watch, it's a great way to learn and help to improve a project.

No specific language requirements - PHP is welcome, though not likely to be the prominent language. You're likely to see all kinds of languages being used, which presents a opportunity to start picking up new skills.

No experience needed - Don't let inexperience stop you from the chance to experience something new, some of the best ideas come from the inexperienced in new situations.

Hacking Session is a great time to work on code, ideas, or just collaborate with others. Some real interesting projects have come out of group coding events, lets see what we can create!
