Are you looking to prepare your family in the event of an emergency or disaster? Are you new to the details of keeping your family safe (also known as prepping) or an experienced family safe person?
Introducing the Piedmont Virginia Family Safe Meetup. We'll meet to discuss ways to encourage keeping your family safe for the unknown. Whether it is a natural or man-made event, we'll strive to develop our collective knowledge and skills to be prepared.
We will organize meetings to cover key subject matter necessary for preparedness. Examples are communications [think no batteries or electricity], food and water storage, nutrition [organic, GMO free production], medical and alternative medicines [basic first-aid training, herbal, homeopathy, acupuncture, essential oils], sanitation, energy production [solar, wind, animal and human power], safety, networking, transportation, logistics, gardening, livestock raising for food and clothing, bartering, sharing our education and experience to teach others, sharing our resources [education and experience] to teach others, DIY training.
Our meetings will also give members the opportunity to share ideas on planning, compare best practices, Lessons Learned and how to source provisions. We are lucky enough to have active and retired Armed Forces men and women, experienced homemakers, RNs, teachers, utility experts, engineers, fire and rescue personnel, experienced outdoorsmen, inventors, safety, computer experts and countless other members who may guide our training.
Again, this group will be open to those in VA or beyond who are new to family safe preparedness all the way to the experienced family safe. *** We will request that you please send your $10 annual dues before acceptance of your application. Write the Organizer for the address and join us for interesting topics and hours of reading researched information.
