Capital Area PMI Chapter Monthly Lunch and Learn

The PMI Capital Area Chapter will hold project management tools demonstrations monthly at the Lansing Dewpoint office.

The meetings will occur on the second Tuesday of the month and will begin at 11:45.  Product demonstration beginning @ 12:00.

Subject: Enterprise Portfolio Management with Changepoint PPM

Summary of Presentation:

Over the past 4 years, the State of Michigan’s Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) has implemented and utilized the Changepoint PPM solution throughout many of its IT Departments.  Now a State standard for all IT initiatives and projects, Changepoint has grown in its functionality and adoption to accommodate the many IT practices used within DTMB. 

This presentation will introduce attendees to the Changepoint PPM system and its usage by DTMB.  High level functionality will be demonstrated and examples of system outputs will be provided where appropriate.

The presentation will open with a brief introduction to Changepoint and an overview of the State of Michigan business practices. The following are the topics that will be covered during the presentation as they relate to the Changepoint functionality.

·  Application Portfolio Management (5 minutes)

·  Candidate Screening (5 minutes)

·  Project Management (15 minutes)

·  Project Portfolio Management (5 minutes)

·  Request Management (5 minutes)

·  Resource Management (10 minutes)

·  Reporting (5 minutes)

The presentation will conclude with next steps planned for DTMB Changepoint and a round of Q&A.
