Capital Area PMI Chapter Monthly Lunch and Learn

The PMI Capital Area Chapter will have a summer hiatus until October 9th.

 

The PMI Capital Area Chapter will hold project management tools demonstrations monthly at the Lansing Dewpoint office.

The meeting will begin at 11:45 and the product demonstration beginning @ 12:00.

This session is free to Capital Area PMI Members and reservations will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. A link to the Meetup site will be distributed via a Capital Area Chapter e-mail message.

- From Detroit/East: I-96 West to exit 104, turn Right onto Pennsylvania Ave., then Right at first light onto Miller Rd.

- From Grand Rapids/West: I-96 E to I-69 S to I-96 E, Exit 104, Right at Pennsylvania Ave, then right onto Miller Rd.

Reporting Professional Development Units:

Log on the PMI.org website, select the "Certification" pull down menu, click on "Maintain Your Credentials" and select the "Report PDUs" button

Step 1:

* Click on “Cat A” and select “Registered Education Provider/PMI Component”

* Click on “Report a Component” and select “1-2 PDU Event”

* Click on the “Next” button

Step 2:

* Enter “C208” in the Component ID box and click on the “Search” button

Step 3:

* Click on “C208” under the Component ID

Step 4:

* Enter the: “Activity Date Completed” Example: March 8, 2011

* Enter the “Activity Title” Example: PMI-MCAC Lunch and Learn

* Click on the “Next” button

Step 5:

* Enter 1 in the “PDUs claimed” box

* Click on the “Next” button

Step 6:

* Click on the check box next to “I agree this claim is accurate”

* Click on the “Submit” button

    This was a very good presentation. It was great to hear how the State of MI is working to address cybersecurity, and apparently have received high rewards in their efforts to date. Thanks too for the food and drink, to Ron for setting these all up for us, and for Dewpoint for providing the location.
