Meet other out-of-shape local hiking enthusiasts in this dog-and-family-friendly group. We'll set a slower pace, and start with easier, shorter hikes. Please note: we mean HIKES-- not walks down nature paths. :) There may be some walks down nature paths, but please be prepared to do real-life hiking. Some members of our group are unabashedly completely and totally overweight and out of shape, and want to do something about it. If you do too, then let's start slow! If you aren't interested in pushing yourself just that little bit further, then we might not be the right group for you. If you are a little quicker, feel free to go at your own pace. We have systems in place to make sure everyone returns so please communicate appropriately. (Organizers will let you know the protocols at the hike site.)
Because while we do intend to take it pretty easy, we still want to see results from all of our hard work. Positive attitudes encouraged! I personally invite all those who are dedicated to slower-paced hiking excursions in the Pacific Northwest, with a focus on losing weight or getting in shape, and leaving no trace of litter on our lands! And most importantly, have fun doing it!
