$20.00 Minimum Donation

(no one turned away)

Doors Open 6:00 PM  ♥  Program  7:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Neighborhood Congregational Church, 340 St. Ann’s Drive, Laguna Beach, CA 92651

Please join with LIGHT Bearers of the World as we raise money to aid Japan in recovery from the 9.0 magnitude earthquake , the resulting tsunami and damaged nuclear reactors. We watched in horror as these events began to unfold and now observe the Japanese people as they have handled the costliest diasaster in recorded history with courage, honor, and grace.

The relief organizations that are on the ground aiding the survivors are financially tapped out. Let's create a miracle and raise $10,000 plus to send to American Red Cross and International Relief Committee who have been responding to one disaster after another and are now in Japan.

On Saturday, April 9, 2011 please plan on attending One LIGHT, One LOVE, One WORLD Disaster Relief Benefit for JAPAN. Doors will open at 6:00 PM for seat selection, purchase of food and beverage, mingling, viewing the items donated for the silent auction and learning about our neighbors across the Pacific at the Japanese Cultural Table where you can learn Origami.

Live Music begins at 7:00 PM. We will get our groove on with well known local band Deep Stirrings. This global fusion band has a huge heart and frequently donates their talent for benefit fundraisers. We enjoyed Deep Stirrings as well as Global Groove featuring the beautiful and exotic Sarah Al Nour and rhythem king Alec Marken. New to our line up this year is singer and song writer Ariana Attie. We have several other musicians that we may be adding to our show.

Last but certainly not least will be our fantastic Silent Auction with products and services donated by local merchants and practioners. The program will be emceed by D'Marie Mulattieri and Craig Preston. Our slide presentation will allow the audience to view all the donations and learn more about the businesses that have contributed to the auction.

If you own a business and would like to contribute to the Silent Auction, please send your email of intent to [masked] and a Special Events Coordinator will contact you. We appreciate your generosity.

The Benefit for Japan was amazing. We had over thirty volunteers help as over 100 people attended this event. The Silent Auction consisted of over $10,000 worth of products and services donated by members and people in the local community. The musicians, all who donated their fantastic talent, rocked the house! Thank you to everyone that helped make this event a huge success!!! Please continue to bid on the Silient Auction as we have moved the remaining items online!
