Portrait Art Workshop in Venice Italy with Marilyn Sholin and Lori Jill

Join us this May 2014 for an amazing week of portrait art adventures in Venice, Italy!

But you must hurry... the RSVP is only open to a couple more attendees. This workshop is very limited in attendance and almost full already!

Your RSVP and deposit must be received by Jan 10th to reserve your spot. I am announcing this in all 7 of our Meetup sites.  So, if you are thinking you'd like to join us, please don't delay as you may see the event close, due to RSVPs from members in another city!

You will not only get the vacation experience of Italy but you will also have two experienced tour guides, professional photographers and artists to learn and create with?

Lori Jill (that's me) and Marilyn Sholin  (master photographer, author, and instructor) will be your two portrait art instructors for the week. We will be teaching photography, composition, and creating art from your images.

This is our tentative itinerary, however, it is subject to change due to weather, closures, group decisions or other factors that may be beyond our control. We will make every effort to offer every item or substitute it with a similar one. Lunch is as group or on your own.

Dinners will be as a group and not included in the fee, but you are also free to have dinner on your own.

Breakfast will be served in the hotel each day.

On the SATURDAY we are there we will be doing a dawn ride to the RIALTO fish and flower market where you will be amazed at the selection and photo opportunities. You will watch nuns next to chefs picking their fresh fish and flowers.

To attend this workshop you must enjoy visiting some of the most beautiful locations in the world, love eating delicious Italian food alongside an equally delectable glass of wine, and enjoy being in the company of other creative people all while being visually inspired. You do NOT need to be a professional photographer or even bring a DSLR. ANY camera is a camera. For the model session there will be plenty of available light and available light lessons for anyone to learn to use their camera better. FRIENDS AND FAMILY WELCOME

Attendees are encouraged to share this once-in-a-lifetime experience with a guest and can bring a partner to join them on all but the classroom portions of the workshop. Many attendees bring a friend, spouse or other family members. There’s a lot for everyone to see and enjoy, even if you’re not a photographer. It’s always fun to see the “non” photographers getting caught up in the joy of taking photographs throughout the week. We all explore together, so our non-photographer guests will enjoy everything with us. The only part of the workshop reserved for attendees and not their guests will be the one to two hour class sessions each morning or evening. Most spouses are happy to sleep in or relax with a cappuccino.

The fee for non-participating is a discount of $400.00. ($[masked])

This means they will

be participating in the computer part of viewing the images and Marilyn and Lori Jill showing how you can manipulate your images to be their best. This gives us a realistic count for how much room we need for the computer sessions. We require a $250.00 deposit (by Jan 10th) to hold your place for the trip. We should have more details by then which will include models for a half day, two special dinners included, more details on the hotel plus much more. You can be assured that the entire trip and every detail are being attended to not only personally by Marilyn but we have a lovely Italian friend who does these tours involved in making this a trip of a lifetime. This is because the hotels require full payment.

Although we know that you wouldn’t miss this workshop for the world, we do realize that life happens, so just in case, please refer to the cancellation policy below. Please be aware that we will be making non-refundable reservations for hotel, transportation, etc.

Cancellation Policy:

6 Months or More Before Workshop
We will happily refund all but $200 of the amount paid.

4 – 6 Months Before Workshop
We will refund all but $800 of amount paid.

2 – 4 Months Before Workshop
We will refund all but $2,000 of the amount paid.

Less Than 60 Days Before Workshop

Once your registration is received you will be sent info for the trip and suggestions of what to bring and you will be sent a RELEASE and information packet that will need to be filled out and returned to us.  If you will need extra days reservations for the hotel as you want to arrive two days earlier or stay later, you will need to let us know so we have the hotel hold your rooms and you will pay the hotel directly for the extra nights.
