Do you wish to learn more about photographing children with studio lighting?

Would you like to capture a few amazing images to add to your portfolio?

Then you should attend this class!

But HURRY ..... as the RSVP is limited to only 6 photographers!

Yep - only 6! I will not budge on the number of RSVPs, simply because working with children requires smaller groups and I want to be sure everyone gets enough time to capture their own images.

We will be working with a couple children models, dressed and ready for perfect holiday images.

I will have a few holiday props and you are welcome to bring yours if you have anything you wish to use.

If you been using mostly available or natural light and are beginning to realize the limitations, especially at this time of year, then you should attend this event.

This is a 2 hour class, with models arriving periodically and spaced out over the class time.

I will show you some basic lighting set-ups, to produce professional results, and I will explain what your camera settings need to be; shutter speed, aperture, ISO, and white balance.

This class is appropriate for beginners to intermediate level.

As always, you will walk away with images to use in your portfolios, that you can market with or just have for future reference.

All you need to bring is your DSLR camera and lens (and any holiday propping you'd like to capture)

If you have a cyber synch trigger, you are welcome to bring it along also, but it is not necessary, as I will have an extra for you to use.

Please message me if you have any further questions and I'll look forward to seeing you there!

Lori Jill

P.S. If this class does not fill it will be moved to Dec 16th, same time and location, to allow more time for RSVPs to come in.

Jeni, I posted the ones I shot, but I had to leave early. I'm sure there are more from the other photographer who attended.

Had to leave early but learned a lot! Lori, you are awesome!!! And you are right, getting the wrinkles out in post-processing takes a lot of time. I think I will save and go vinyl.

I shoot in single point center focus, single shot, not continuous and always in raw :-)

Oh, set your camera to manual mode. Flash for white balance. 200 ISO, shutter of 200. We'll start with about a[masked] f-stop. No worries if any of this is confusing, just giving you a heads up. I'll explain anything you need tomorrow. But we will only have 20-30 minutes with each baby. That's all the longer their attention spam usually lasts.

    December 11, 2012

  • Lori J.

Ok ladies. We've got 3-4 babies coming tomorrow. 10 months to 2 years. They'll arrive every 30 minutes. So empty your memory cards, get some rest tonight and please get to the studio 20 minutes early for some instruction. Fun fun morning it's gonna be!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
