Come on out, sip some coffee or hot chocolate and enjoy a couple of hours of academics and discussion on winter survival. This course will include cold weather injuries (frost bite, hypothermia, trench foot, chill blains, snow blindness) and how to avoid them, fire strategies, signalling, shelters, clothing selection, etc. Video clips and recent, real-world examples will be used to emphasize the importance of training and the consequences of not knowing what to do in a cold weather emergency.
I will be teaching this class. I am a graduate of U.S Army Ranger School, the Army Cool School, and The Air Force Arctic Survival School (taught near the Arctic Circle in Alaska in the winter).
These are great skills to have in a cold weather environment (like Tennessee this year!)
I hope to see some of you there!
