Thank you to Virgil and Ramona for hosting this event!!

11:00 am - 2:00 pm  - Rus Hays Presenting

The frequently requested Rus Hays will be teaching us more about Emergency Preparedness! He will focus on current real-world scenarios, appropriate responses, and achievable solutions for the average family including water, food, security, priorities of work and long-term sustainability. There will be some scenario based role-playing!

We would also like to welcome John Hawkins! He is presenting an outdoor cooking class and we will be able to sample the foods which are prepared.

  • Please bring your own chair (card table style preferred--they are smaller)
  • Everyone will be asked to contribute $ for the cost of food which we will eat at 4:30 pm.
  • Part of the day will be spent outside, so dress appropriately.
  • We request that everyone help with clean-up afterwards.

Thank you!

Incredibly helpful and fun way to learn about preparedness. Both presenters were very knowledgable and I am thankful to have attended. I'd love to see further classes on preparedness for different situations.

Only 4 stars because I can never get enough information or hands on training. Rusel Hays and John Hawkins both did an excellent job of presenting the information in the time allotted. The food was wonderful!

How much cash should we bring to contribute toward the food?

    November 3, 2012

    • Ramona F.

Carol, I would guesstimate that the food cost will be around $5 each.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
