What a great time yesterday. Not gonna lie, tough, tough, tough, that second climb! Great job to everyone, Robert, Chris, Jess, Nikki, and of course Andy (where were you again?). It was much fun freezing with all of you at the top!! Thought I was gonna die coming back down on the lift. Brrrrr!! Thanks to all of you who came out for the second loop! We appreciated the support, especially to Charles who hung back with me and encouraged me up. :) Nice time hanging with all of you at the lodge after as well. Memories I will not soon forget.

I was happy to see you guys this morning! Awesome day windy, clear and cold. Hope the double went as planned. Chris you are 100% right it was on a "Robert" hike that we met. Well I headed back down Devils backbone for a cold one and the easy but swaying tram ride down.

    Cheers until next time,

    The Other Robert

Yeah Robert, it was good to see you too! Other than the second loop being challenging, things went well. Chilly day too!

What a day! You guys did AWESOME! One of our major challenges is now in the books as we continue our C2C training. Thanks for coming out so early and enduring the challenges Baldy had to offer. Also, thanks to the second Baldy group for being there to support us up the second loop. You guys ROCK! Especially you Fabriba. You were there every step of the way when I really needed it. And it's also worth mentioning, that ride down on the ski lift was chilly! I need to be sure to bring more warm clothes next time..

Hey guys, I'm planning to camp at the Manker Flats campground tonight and possibly tomorrow night. The campground is first come first serve but I'm going to try my luck anyway. Just thought I would mention it on case anyone else it interested. Could be fun!

Let's meet at the base of the ski lifts around 4:45a then carpool to the village. Also, me and Julie will be carpooling from Beaumont. Andy, if like to carpool with us to Baldy, let me know. Julie, lets meet for our carpool at 3:45a =(.

Just want to let everyone know the Baldy Double will be a very challenging day taking on Baldy from the Village then afterwards, up ski hut trail.

This will be between 17-20 miles depending  if you like to take the ski lift down after the first loop.  The goal is to get as much climbing in as possible.  So don't feel bad if you want to take the lift down to start your second climb up Baldy.

The plan is to be out for at least 12 hours, a long day.

Also, this hike is for advance hikers.  If you haven't been out on some serious hikes recently, please update your RSVP status.   We took some hikers (ADVANCE hikers)  up Baldy from the Village yesterday, and they found the hike to be a challenge.   One person saying this was the most challenging hike they've done.  So you guys are in for a treat!

If you have any questions,  let me know
