Weekday Blue Mountain hike

Let's do a weekday hike. I'm thinking Blue Mountain in Grand Terrace. It's approximately 2 miles one way, and a little over a 1000' feet of climbing (the peak ~2,417 ft.). Considering the elevation gain, this is a STRENUOUS hike. So please be in a moderately decent shape for hiking and prepare for a good work-out.  Bring enough water to drink (1-1.5 liters) and FLASHLIGHT/HEAD LAMP.  Also, plan to be out between 1.5 to 2-hours depending on your hiking ability.

What a great way to end the last of the "late" Blue Mountain hikes. Halloween candy and hot chocolate/cider at the top! Thank you Sherry and Jairo! I will miss all of those who cannot make it to the earlier hikes. See you soon!

Small group tonight but it was a great hike, complete with hot chocolate and hot cider at the top. I'll miss these hikes over the next few months but will join up again when the time changes back.

That's fine Tonya as long as they're not cats...LOL! We usually have others bring their dogs and they have a good time.

Sorry guys, have to bail on today's hike..still recovering from Sunday's hike. Everyone's a veteran on Blue Mountain from who I see on the list w/the exception of Tonya I'm thinking. If so, please welcome and point her in the right direction. Also, with the time change this wkend, we have a new Blue Mountain start time, 3:45p.. We're going to lose some folks. So give hugs and kisses to those folks tonight. Unfortunately, some of you will not be able to make the earlier start time. Hopefully we'll see them back during the next time change. All I can say, it was a good run seeing everyone during the last time change giving us more light. I loved how everyone bonded together and made new friends. Especially with the blossoming of other activities as a result of the friends we made on this majestic hill called Blue Mountain. Thanks to everyone for making this a wonderful run on BM this last time change. I already look forward to next year.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
