Weekday Blue Mountain hike

There will be less light with the time change.  Hence, we will change the start time to 3:45p..

Let's do a weekday hike. I'm thinking Blue Mountain in Grand Terrace. It's approximately 2 miles one way, and a little over a 1000' feet of climbing (the peak ~2,417 ft.). Considering the elevation gain, this is a STRENUOUS hike. So please be in a moderately decent shape for hiking and prepare for a good work-out.  Bring enough water to drink (1-1.5 liters) and FLASHLIGHT/HEAD LAMP.  Also, plan to be out between 1.5 to 2-hours depending on your hiking ability.

If you have any questions, shoot me an email......Robert

Hello everyone, this will be my first hike with the group. I had a question about the meeting point, the map shows it on a dirt road, where is the best place to park closest to the trail head?

I am looking for a hike (I am assuming this one is not for me yet) that is good gor a beginner but I do need to start because I have to prep for hiking to Macchu Pichu in August. What are some good hikes to train for this? Thanks in advance.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
