IF YOU ARE A NEW MEMBER WHO WOULD LIKE TO TRY THIS EVENT AS YOUR FREE GAME AND THE EVENT IS NOT FULL, PLEASE E-MAIL SCOTT (CO-ORGANIZER) TO BE PLACED ON THE RSVP LIST.
We can set up two courts for a maximum of four teams of six or twenty-four members.
Please arrive by 7:30 pm to start warming up but we will not break into teams until 7:45 pm so if you run a little late due to traffic that won't be a problem. We will play until 9:20 pm.
There are no set teams; the game organizer will divide those in attendance into separate teams with the goal of having the teams of roughly equal in ability.
If we have enough players we'll have three teams and rotate one in using rally scoring. That way each team plays two games, sits out one, plays two, etc. Since it will be rally scoring, the team sitting will not be waiting long.
No winners stay on; all that does it lead to members complaining about the strength of their team.
We're looking for people who like to compete but do not go overboard about it. If you're the type of player who harps on other players inadequacies or has a negative attitude if the game doesn't go your way or you just generally think you're God's gift to Volleyball, you may want to join a league and pass us by.
We want positive people who enjoy playing with other like-minded individuals.
If you haven't had much experienced playing volleyball or you haven't played in a very long time, you are more than welcome to join us.
We ask that if your experience is very limited to please let the game organizer know so that we can go over some of the basics. Also, during the course of play, the more experienced players may give you advice (in a positive way) if you are new to the game so, please, don't take any comments made as a negative; we just want everyone to have fun and improve their game.
Refunds offered if:
Additional notes: Any cancellation within 3 hours of a FULL EVENT will only be refunded if that spot is taken by another member within that 3 hour period. You need to take yourself off the RSVP List; simply placing a comment on the game page or e-mail is not enough.
Payments you make go to the organizer, not to Meetup. You must make refund requests to the organizer.
