Wed Soccer Penn Park Turf

I just finished talking to Penn and they are going to let us use the turf! With Lights!!
There is just one catch, if any penn organization wants to play they get first dibbs when they schedule it through the rec center. So this Meetup will be pending open slots. I WILL NOTIFY ONLY MEMBERS WHO RSVP TO THIS MEETUP. I don't want to blast spam to those who did not rsvp. So PLEASE rsvp if you plan on coming and check the comments the day of to see if we are still on.

See you on the pitch.

Kingsessing seemed to be much less busier. I bet Penn will get even busier when as the weather turns. When I walked up and didn't see anyone by the turf I just left. So we can stick to Penn and use the back field as a backup then. I drove from East Falls in 76 traffic (yea I don't know all the back roads yet, bar Kelly Dr)
Sunday at Penn?! No wait, champs league games are on!

Ian you started with the name calling, so once again take your own advice and check your attitude. You say no disrespect but you called me the "ass".

    April 23, 2014

  • Ian R. E.

Excuse me David, but you are the one that started pointing fingers. It's a soccer game, a "Meet Up" soccer game in fact. I have never been to this field, paid to park on the street, and was lost too. But, I asked around and found out where to go. No disrespect, but you need to check your attitude and realize that this location does not care about Meet Up RSVP's. there was about 30 students there ready to play that had no Meet Up connections

Thank you Ian, I will keep that in mind for next week

Dmitriy, it is all the way back behind the Tennis courts. I was very lost too, but asked the gentleman coaching Rugby and he points me in the correct direction.

Ian calling me an "ass" makes you the ass. If the location changes you tell people where to look! You have problems communicating dude, maybe you should take you own advice, chill with the name calling..

    April 23, 2014

  • Dmitriy

Show me and two other gentlemen who did not find a "grass" field. Thanks

David, your an ass. Chill, when you RSVP at a field where Drexel and Penn practices things might change. It's no ones fault, everyone else found the spot. Relax, we aren't in charge

Lol 50 people showed up but 9 people RVSP... yeah right Ian! Maybe if people could answer basic questions about the meetup days in advance it would show they cared about the meetup...

    April 23, 2014

  • Ian R. E.

Listen, there was like 50 people that showed up. Just because you didn't check the ENTIRE park, don't bitch. Rugby practice trumped our little thing, so grass field at VERY end of park was where we were at.

Guess I'll stick to playing in NYC, where questions are answered & people show up..

    April 23, 2014

  • Dmitriy

Case in point Ian. Guess no one showed up to penn park?

    April 23, 2014

  • Ian R. E.

Either one is fine with me, I prefer grass and lights and better parking. Might be fair though to ask people once we show up tonight, then change location after everyone is aware. Some might not check these posts

    April 23, 2014

  • Ian R. E.

    April 23, 2014

  • Edward Z.

What do you think guys to start playing at Kingsessing Recreation Center, the y have a big grass field and it's free to park, I can talk to them so we can play there Sunday morning and Wednesday. The Penn Park some times are busy and it will get more busy. the Address is: 4901 Kingsessing Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19143

let me know what do you think.

Full sized field? How many players per side? Cleats allowed or turf/flats only? Any futsal pick up games in Philly(these are big in NYC and are amazingly fun)?

    April 20, 2014

  • Ian R. E.

    Sounds like a plan
