Mom always said, “Don’t play with your food.” Well I’m gonna!
Fruit is vibrant in color, the yellow peppers or lemons, the red strawberries or tomatoes, Oranges, black berries. Well black berries aren’t really vibrant, but they add contrast to the brighter colored fruit. Then add the splash of the water and bubbles in your image for a touch of life in your photo.
I’m going to show you that you can do this at home and create some beautiful images for framing on a low budget. Yep, I said it, lowwww budget. I don’t have money to throw around so I do everything in the simplest manner. Granted some photography takes a studio and lights and backdrops and a model which in turn call for money, but fruit does not.
I’m going to explain the setup, how to shoot and then we play with water and fruit. I will have my tripod there to use but if you wish to bring your own go ahead. Bring your camera and some patience (No bathing suit required as we’re not playing with that much water this time).
Unlike Painting with Light where we shoot slowly, here we shoot quickly. “On your mark, get set go!!!”
Test images. They will be fine tuned for Sunday.
