So here we have an opportunity to capture a large moving object up close. A rider and her horse will be jumping just for PWC Photographers on Sunday afternoon, April 14th at 1:30pm.
We will be limiting this event to eight photographers. The organzier shows as #9.
We will start with beauty/sexy portrait shots, followed by implied/glam fashion shots, and wrap up with artistic nude shots. (WAIT! Sorry, the horse doesn't do nude... )
This event is to capture a moving object so there will be no posing the horse for portrait or stills of any kind.
The track will have multiple jumps for each of us to be near as long as we don't get in the way of the 1000 pound horse because unlike your car, his ABS doesn't stop too quickly. You will be able to learn what you and your camera are capable of capturing as you pan with the horse and click away. Safety is priority number one for everyone involved, to include the horse, so we will address safety prior to the beginning of the shoot. I can only hold eight stations for Sunday's shoot but I will create a waiting list. If the waiting list gets another eight people there may be another horse and rider available. I will try to arrange the second horse once the waiting list is full.
There will be approximately 30 minutes of warmup time prior to practice. Once practice begins you will be given a station to be at. Any movement on your part during the jumps and you will be asked to leave with no refund. Again, SAFETY if priority for everyone. The total time available will be near one and half hours, depending on the horse of course. You can photograph during warmup and practice. I have seen him jump plenty of times and he is a magnificent black beauty in the air. If you have never photographed moving objects then this is the day for you. And if you have never photographed a jumping horse then grab your camera and join us for a fun event.
If this event is a hit I will schedule a portrait shoot with the horse at a later date.
If you have never attempted at shooting a moving object. I will arrive early to help those that ask for assistance or you can shoot me a message or leave a comment.
Horse and rider provided all that is missing is you and your camera.. just show up and click.
$25 to attend.
