Cakearoke at Highline on Broadway

I have been to Highline a few times, and it is always a blast. They have a sizable menu of traditional pub grub that has received a vegan makeover. They host a weekly karaoke, with vegan cake, hence the name, "Cakearoke." They are on Facebook if you want to read about them on the web: http://www.facebook.com/#!/highlinebar

The karaoke starts at about 9-9:30. I will be there at 8pm to get a table and grab some food. Please drop by at whatever time works for you.

If you haven't done karaoke before, it is a lot of fun. I find that the crowd is very supportive and appreciative of your singing efforts :) And, if you are too shy to sing, it is always fun to watch.

Look forward to seeing everyone there!

Lol... I'd be willing to go if we can get a couple more folks to join us. I'm a little scared of the karaoke aspect, but I bet it'd be interesting. (There will be no singing from me though, that's for damn sure.) :-P

I just noticed Cakearoke isn't actually on the calendar for tonight. Instead it is a few bands... hopefully it won't create any problems for anyone. I think I'm still going...

You can generally park on the streets just East of the Highline for for free, if you're willing to walk 2 or 3 blocks. Avoid the lots, they're all overpriced.

It was awhile ago, but I have had good luck with parking free on the street within just a few blocks. I have also parked in a small lot just a few blocks south, on the same side of the street. I don't remember the price, though. It looks like there are a few lots nearby where you can park for $4-$6. Check out this link: http://en.parkopedia.com/parking/capitol_hill_seattle/

Any tips on parking around here? Last time I went I got financially slaughtered at the parking garage.
