Sorry but I need to become a "maybe" for this event. I may have to work but won't know for sure until late Saturday.

Most regrettable but I have to bow out for tomorrow. Lower back pain flare-ups and stiffness again and can't move or walk. Laying on the living room floor, on ice packs, mostly likely all weekend :-(

URGH!!! The herding instructor has made a change....The evals are done in 10 minute increments. If you need more time, you'll need to let me know. $25/10 minute increment. Cash only. I'm sorry!!!

I don't fully understand the various services. Is a herding evaluation something you do before you can get a herding lesson? As for the agility being offered on Sunday, is that an agility lesson? Sorry I'm asking all this at the last minute. We can do the agility lesson if you need someone else signed up for that, and do the herding eval some other time.

      August 23, 2013

    • Crystal Anne Cecilia A.

You can totally do both, too! We're doing both!

      August 24, 2013

  • John

Please schedule Sadie for herding evaluation.
I am looking forward to meeting as I don't make events because they are all too far. This is far but being an all day thing and chance to meet aussie and bc lovers will be interesting.
I'll check before leaving to find out what is most needed.

    Hello all!!

Yes, a herding eval is required before lessons. Sunday, Chris will be providing evaluations and time to talk, individually, about your dog's herding ability. Herding time starts at 10am. She doesn't want to be regimented in a schedule because she would like to give you good attention during your time. I will be there at 10 evaluating one of my dogs. As everyone arrives, we can do evaluations in order. $25 cash for each. At that time, you can talk with her about lessons. Agility will be another deal. If you've done your herding eval, you can do agility with the people there. $20 cash. Sorry for the confusion. She mistook me for another group and provided me their instructions. Other than that, we still have some potluck items. I'd love to see you all there!!

I can bring plates and forks and a dessert item, maybe cookies. Is the agility guided?

I heard that there is a place in Orting to bring your herding dog. Can't find it. Does anyone know anything about it? I'm in Pierce county so unlikely to make any Seattle and north events.

If at all possible I will attend, would like to do herding evaluation (unless six months is to young?) and will bring tortilla chips.

      August 20, 2013

    • Crystal Anne Cecilia A.

I'd love to have you! Just let me know b/c I have to provide a head count soon. And 6 months is a perfect age!

I am still hoping to make it but had foot surgery early this month and will have to see if I can walk.

I'm going to be out of the country, so can't join you all. But Artoo and I have been going to Fido's every week this summer, and it's been tremendous fun. For those doing agility, take a lot of high value treats!

    August 13, 2013

  • Crystal Anne Cecilia A.

    Hey guys!

Please let me know if you're coming to this event! I need to let the Fido's Farm people know!

Also, I need to know what potluck item you're going to bring!! Yay!!

Read the event description for costs, etc!

Still planning on being there but got to make sure I wrap up all of the outside projects before the rain season comes. Hope I can do it before this event!

there will be a cost to do a herding eval, which is usually $25. i think that there is free herding, though.

Fido's farm is a lot of fun. The agility and herding instructors are very good, focused on the people as much as the dogs.
