Do you have to take the ferry to get there?

I spend a lot of time in Mason County, so I thought I'd butt in here.
The answer is yes & no.
You can drive to Port Orchard by driving south on 1-5 from Seattle, and taking the Highway 16 exit toward Gig Harbor.
You can take the Fauntleroy Ferry from West Seattle to Port Orchard, but just be aware some of the Fauntleroy ferries go to Vashon, others to Southworth (Port Orchard) so read the ferry schedule carefully.
You can also take a ferry from downtown Seattle to Bremerton, and drive south on Highway 3 to Port Orchard.
      Hope this helps.
I've never been to Howe Farm. Sounds fun!
