How to live a ZERO WASTE life!

There is so much we can do, individually and collectively, to lessen our impact on the planet.

Please join PACHAMAMA SAN DIEGO at ECOverse book store and cafe for this private tour and event to learn about the simple choices you can easily make that will make a significant impact. This will be a very enlightening experience!

Recently opened in downtown's East Village (across from the new central library) the mission of EcoVerse is directly aligned with Pachamama's. Designed as both an educational venue, as well as a community gathering place, it is a coffee shop, a book store, and a "living room away from home" meeting space. We will have a tour of this beautiful, peaceful space and a presentation on their theme for the month: "How to live a ZERO WASTE life." Following the presentation, break-out groups will explore proactive steps to improve our lives and those of others through environmental awareness.

Complimentary tea and coffee (iced or hot) will be served.

It's close to the Market and 11th street trolley stop if you'd like to use that mode of transportation (no parking hassles!).  Or carpool!

Do you know about Zero Waste San Diego? Their website is www.zerowastesandiego.org. They host events such as that in Oceanside w. area leaders and an outstanding speaker whose city had banned plastic bags and styrene takeout containers; this was about a year or so ago. The city of Oceanside has a zero waste goal, and has dramatically cut down on their solid waste going to landfill.

Thanks for the heads-up Paula! Might be an opportunity for a north county event on this topic. Will check them out!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
