Drum in the Park!

This location is perfect for outdoor drumming. There is a large, flat paved area to spread out, and it's surrounded by trees, creating a nice acoustic sound space! There are also picnic table for sharing food/conversation.

It turned out to be just me and Tomaj. We did some explorations into esoteric beats, some traditional stuff. It ended up being an inspiring afternoon of drumming.

Once parked, just walk straight in, and our area will be on the right. I will be there around 11:45 to sweep the area. You should bring a chair or stool to sit on.....

I might be able to attend. I recommend, in any event, to bring a broom to sweep off the volleyball court or the area next to the stage. There will be a lot of leaves.

I don't have a car and I live in the Lake Merritt area in Oakland, if anyone is able and wanting to give me and my djembe a ride, that would rock!

I agree, this location is near ideal for outdoor drumming; the acoustics, the comfort, the setting. I'd be down for it. Park rules state as long as there's no amplification, and no playing after dark, freak out.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
