Our Lady of the Earth and Sky June Service

Our Lady of the Earth and Sky invites all to join us for our June 2013 Services! The day includes workshops, a potluck feast, an outdoor stone circle, and a beautiful wetland setting to explore.

3:00-4:00pm Workshop: Honoring the Cultures of our Gods (with Cyndie-Lea)
4:00-5:30pm Workshop: Introduction to Shinto (with Ashley)
4:00-5:00pm Workshop: Midsummer’s Dream (With Ruthie)
6:00 PM Potluck Dinner
7:00-7:45 PM Newcomer’s Orientation
7:45 PM Ritual: “Preparing the Sacred Waters “
10:30 PM Closing Circle

3:00pm – 4:00pm Workshop: Honoring the Cultures of our Gods (with Cyndie-Lea)
Why and how to learn the history, language, and culture of a particular pantheon or Godform you want to work with.

4:00pm – 5:30pm Workshop: Introduction to Shinto (with Ashley)
The basics of Shinto including key terms, visiting a shrine, shrine etiquette, home practice, important Kami and shrines.

4:00pm – 5:00pm Workshop: Midsummer’s Dream (With Ruthie)
All younglings are welcome to join us in imaginative play as we disuss the power and symbols of dreams. We will explore different ways to express and remember our dreams, as well as make our own herb dream bags.

7:45pm Ritual: “Prepairing the Sacred Waters”
Join the rest of the community in beginning the process of charging the anointing waters that will be used during the OLOTEAS ritual at the Earth and Sky Pagan Campout in July. In honor of the spirit of OLOTEAS, we will invite in a multitude of Deities to help us. We will invite in Sun Gods and Goddesses to charge the anointing waters that will be used by The Lord of the Forest and Field, and Moon Gods and Goddesses to charge the anointing waters that The Lady of the Earth and Sky will use!
