Re: [Pageturners-SilverSpring] Book Recommendations

Hi,

I still haven't made it to a meetup (I travel a ton) though I do hope to make it to the one for The Room!

Anyway, two suggestions (if they count since I've not yet made an appearance):

1) Miss Smilla's Feel for Snow (Peter Hoeg)--fiction, like an earlier grittier Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, etc. genre.

2) Don't let's go to the dogs tonight (Alexandra Fuller)--non-fiction but goes down so easily and an amazing and beautiful and humorous story of her growing up poor white in several countries of Africa during times of intense political change.

Thanks, Denise

Hi Everyone,

Don't forget to send me your book recommendations!  (anything available in paperback)  I'll compile them and we'll vote at our meetup next week.

Cheers,

Beth
