This is a Painting workshop for any level of artist. I will begin the class by having you paint a value study of whatever subject matter you like or from a still life that I will set up. Then we will paint that same study in color using oil paints. The workshop will meet at the studio in my home in Englewood. I have a MFA and have taught Painting and Design at Carnegie Mellon University. This workshop is meant to inspire, teach new ways of seeing, technique and we will have group critiques. The final painting can be totally representational or an abstraction of the subject matter. The main emphasis is on technique -it makes no difference if the subject matter is realistic or abstract.
