Reclaim or Uncover Your Creative Self with The Artist's Way: Sundays

NOTE: This is a 12-week class that started in February and runs through May 5th. The class is closed for registrations.

If you're interested in taking the next 12-week class, it starts on Tues April 16th and runs through Tues July 2nd (6-8pm). You can register for that one here: http://www.eventbrite.com/event/6007495581#

Class will meet Sundays 11am-1pm Feb 10 thru March 5 (skips Easter 3/31) Feel free to bring your art supplies and stay for Paint Club at no extra charge!
There seem to be an awful lot of people out there who think they're not creative; and a lot who think they are, but can't seem to tap into it as much as they'd like. Personally, I believe we're all creative, but fear holds us back. We're afraid that what we create will not be good enough, or we're afraid of judgement from others. And then there are the other things that thwart our creativity: tv, the laundry, the internet, kids, parents, Johnny Depp... all of those everyday distractions. Whether you are a blocked artist, an artist who wants to take your creativity to the next level, or someone who just wishes they could be more creative, this class is for you. We'll use Julie Cameron's book "The Artist's Way" as a foundation, and add creative exercises using my experience as an artist and an art coach to help you "discover and recover your creative self". The Artist's Way is a powerful program that will remove obstacles that can block your creative energy.

Here's the deal: This will require a commitment of time and energy - and it is worth it. You will need to carve out at least 30 minutes a day - every day - and an additional 30-60 minutes once or twice a week. So we're looking at 5-6 hours a week in addition to the Sunday classes.

Also, you'll need to get a copy of The Artist's Way, and some sort of a journal (doesn't have to be fancy - it can just be a spiral notebook).

If you're feeling creative after each class, feel free to stay for Paint Club at no extra cost (when you bring your own supplies, or a discounted rate if you need to use my supplies.)

I wrote a short blog about my experience with The Artist's Way, please check it out for more a bit more info. Also, a few thoughts on creativity.

Hope to see you soon!

    Hi Shelley,
The dates are correct. This class started in February and meets every Sunday through May 5th.
There is another class starting on April 16th and will meet Tuesday evenings through July 2nd. I haven't uploaded that one to the meetup group page, but you can find more info and register here: http://www.eventbrite.com/event/6007495581#
    Sorry for the confusion!

The dates look incorrect in the first paragraph. Could you please update this paragraph so I know the exact dates for the series and the deadlines. Also, I will not be able to attend tomorrow. Is it o.k. if I started on the next meetup? Thank you.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
