Boardgames in Creswell #21: Casting Lots of Lots

Creswell Game Day #21 (just ten minutes south of Eugene) is a free gaming event that starts at 2pm.

What will we be playing this time?
All sorts of board and card games are welcome, but this time our host will be bringing several push-your-luck dice games, including Zombie Dice, Dino Hunt Dice and even Martian Dice.

In Martian Dice, competing aliens roll 13 custom dice in an effort to abduct Humans, Chickens, and Cows. But, at the same time, you need to amass alien death rays in order to fend off the growing number of tanks attacking you. It just goes to prove the old adage, "a ruthless alien invader's work is never done".

Feel free to post a comment listing any games you're considering bringing. It may help reduce the learning curve (ie: less time explaining, more time playing) if we have an idea of what to expect.

We usually have the entire Community Center to ourselves, meaning no background noise or crowds. It's a great place for gaming!

The community center is at 99 South 1st Street in Creswell, just off the main street, behind City Hall and the fire station.

Here is a link to a picture of the Creswell Community Center building:

The room we'll be in is the one on the left in that photo.

Snacks are okay. We just need to leave the room as clean as we found it.

There's plenty of free parking in the center's parking lot.

I hope you can join us. Whether you're coming from Eugene, Springfield or Cottage Grove, it's just a short drive to Creswell to join us. It's well worth it!

This is a free event, open to all board and card gamers in our area. Donations will be accepted at the event, which help pay for the space and snacks.

Bring 'em on!

Eric, you misread the bylaws. First offenses are actually usually met with lunacy.

OK Chuck. I don't have a copy with me, so I'll take your word for it. Of course, if someone can read it for me, I'll just mind meld with you and get the gist.

    ... next time, too.

I will bring some fantasy armies next time. Perhaps they'll all be painted this time. It's really a two player game and should allow two hours for all the die rolling.

I plan to bring a couple (perhaps more) small Warhammer armies and five dozen or so dice. I do this because I'm a !@#$%^&* who likes to take up table space.

40K or Fantasy Battles? I'm up for it.

We won't make it this time. Will be in Texas at a graduation. Thanks to all who made it to the MOW. It was great to see you and we hope you enjoyed the gaming. See you in a couple of weeks : )

I hope MOW was a success, and I look forward to the next time we can get together at a gaming event. Have a safe trip!

Plastic bowls: They're not just for food this time. Also, is Space Cadet's Dice Duel coming back too? Seeya there!

I'll include Space Cadet's Dice Duel in the games that I bring. If nothing else, it can keep Eric's copy of Manila company.

I'm thinking we should try the co-op game too at some point. Have we had a space theme night yet? I'd like to bring in my Star Trek VHS game if I can find a proper TV setup to run it.
