Boardgames in Creswell #24: It's In The Cards

Creswell Game Day #24 (just ten minutes south of Eugene) is a free gaming event that starts at 2pm.

What will we be playing this time? All sorts of board and card games are welcome, so bring one you like! For example, our host will be bringing several card games, including The Dwarf King and Love Letter.

Love Letter is a surprisingly intriguing game comprised of just sixteen cards, but with endless possibilities.

WHAT WILL YOU  BRING?
Feel free to post a comment listing any games you're considering bringing. It may help reduce the learning curve (ie: less time explaining, more time playing) if we have an idea of what to expect.

THE VENUE
We usually have the entire Community Center to ourselves, meaning no background noise or crowds. It's a great place for gaming!

The community center is at 99 South 1st Street in Creswell, just off the main street, behind City Hall and the fire station.

Here is a link to a picture of the Creswell Community Center building:

The room we'll be in is the one on the left in that photo.

FOOD
Snacks are okay. We just need to leave the room as clean as we found it.

PARKING
There's plenty of free parking in the center's parking lot.

I hope you can join us. Whether you're coming from Eugene, Springfield or Cottage Grove, it's just a short drive to Creswell to join us. It's well worth it!

PRICE
This is a free event, open to all board and card gamers in our area. Donations will be accepted at the event, which help pay for the space and snacks.

A few new faces joined us today! Multiple games were going on simultaneously nearly the entire time. Games that hit the table include: One Night Ultimate Werewolf, Love Letter, The Dwarf King, Botswana, Ingenious, Seventh Hero, Sushi Go, and Say Bye To The Villains.

Sorry to bail! Thought my kids were going to be leaving earlier for vacation today with their Mom but I'll be watching them until 4pm.

No problem! The Creswell game days are biweekly, so you won't have long to wait for another one. Hope you can make it to one soon!

I'm a no only because I wouldn't be able to get to the venue without a ride, I don't think.

It's too bad the LTD doesn't have a great Sunday schedule. There's a bus after 6, but only one early in the morning. Maybe, if we have another long game day that starts early, it might be worth it for you.

I may or may not be going. I have some logistic issues. If I do come, I'll bring some excellent games. I have a couple excellent strategic card game from AEG...same people who make Love Letter.

Eric, you didn't by chance also happen to recently get a copy of Camel Up too? (The SPIEL des Jahres winner?) I got to play that last weekend at EGG, and would be happy to play it again if anyone has it.

No, I'm waiting for the Z-man edition, as the price is fairly steep for the European version... and I keep missing them on Time Well Spent and Game Surplus.
