The paisley Hillwalking club has been active for 27 years, and is affiliated to Mountaineering Council of Scotland.
Unlike alot of other clubs who meet up by car, we have a bus that leaves every second Sunday at the side of Paisley Abbey. Apart from being greener, no-one has to drive, we can do linear walks where you start at one point and finish at another, and in my opinion you get better banter, and cameraderie on a bus.
Paisley is just outside Glasgow with plenty of parking spaces, and free parking on Sunday. In fact, most of our members live outside Paisley.
We are not a rambling club, and do not lead people up hills. We would probably appeal to the more fit, and adventurous walkers, such as munro baggers, though, it's up to yourself what you do on a club walk, as long as you're back to the bus by the stated time. To date the club has 36 munroists and 4 corbetteers.
As well as the Sunday walk programme, the club has weekend trips, talks, and other social events such as rock climbing, cycling, and our annual ceilidh.
We have a wide range of ages, and welcome new members
