Hi/Salaam/ Eloo Everyone!
Wouldn’t it be a wonderful experience to have the luxury to travel abroad every month?! To see what the world has to offer by visiting different places and learning more about them in detail by indulging one of their best dishes?! Well! A lot of us, don’t have the time or energy to travel on a regular basis, but yearn to experience what other countries like to offer on their dining tables when they have guests over. So, I have decided to create “12” month foodie series, which we will try different cuisines across the world on a monthly basis, we will begin with “Greece” and end with “Ethiopia”(During the month of Ramadan: we will visit Pakistan). I am aiming to plan the events over the weekends, and it will vary between brunch or dinner time. The events will be held in the DMV area to make it easier for those living from a distance to join. Lastly, I encourage everyone to partake this event, especially with having a wonderful group of friends to share this experience. The focal point of this series is to…
1. Heighten our knowledge and awareness of different nations
2. Experience different platforms of how signature dishes are created
3. Learn more about certain dishes that countries are well known for worldwide

The Greek Taverna
Located in the heart of Mclean, The Greek Taverna offers a traditional Greek cuisine (no gyro). All of our food is prepared daily from the finest, freshest ingredients available. You will find an assortment of the traditional Greek favorites as well as some more modern and interpretive culinary creations, but in all cases, the goal is to prepare all dishes using ingredients that are indigenous to Greece. The Greek Taverna is not another Greek restaurant - our identity is our commitment to authentic Greek food!
