Announcing a new Meetup for Palm Beach Pack & Paddle!

What: Palm Beach Pack & Paddle Monthly Meetup

When: Monday, June 14,[masked]:00 PM

Okeeheelee Park Nature Center
7715 Forest Hill Blvd
West Palm Beach, FL[masked]

If you are new to the Club or have just found us on Meet-up, this meeting will be a great informal way for you to mingle and ask questions about some of the Club's upcoming activities.

Our guest speaker for the June Membership Meeting will be Eric Anderson.

Eric is an Environmental Analyst for the Palm Beach County Department of Environmental Resources Management.

Eric will talk to us about the South Cove Natural Area project which is located along the West Palm Beach Waterfront. The project will restore an urbanized portion of Lake Worth Lagoon and provide habitat for a variety of wildlife as well improve water quality. This project will be Palm Beach County?s most visible estuarine restoration project both by water and land due to its proximity to West Palm?s downtown area.

If you have an idea for a speaker or topic for our monthly meeting, OR if you would like to be a speaker on a topic that would interest the Club, please contact Geoff Wilson at [masked] or email him at [address removed]. Be sure to mention Pack & Paddle in your email subject.

Our meeting times are 7pm for snacks and chatting with the meeting beginning at 7:30pm and ending at 9pm.

We will announce the upcoming trips that are planned and have reports on the previous month's trips, a guest speaker and club business is also discussed. If you would like to lead a trip or of there is an outdoor activity you'd like to try, mention it to our members for more information and encouragement.

For safety and privacy, most of our trips are not listed on the "Meet-up" website; they are available to (paying) members of Pack & Paddle and are listed at our monthly meetings or in our monthly newsletter. This is the best (and coolest) time of year to get out and join one of our many paddling or camping trips.

There is a "meeting after the meeting" at Applebees at the corner of Jog Road and Forest Hill Blvd. if you'd like to visit with friends old and new after we have to leave the Nature Center.
