We were set to close this web site on January 28, 2010, but an "Angel" has offered to help keep this site open for the next 3 months.
I'll be posting information for several trips led by Pack & Paddle member Jim Ostrander as soon as I have another cup of coffee.
A reminder: our club offers many more trips than I list on this web site. The full list of trips are available to (paying) members of Palm Beach Pack & Paddle, which is different from membership in Meet-up. Our annual fees are reasonable (in my humble opinion) and are $25 for a single membership and $30 for a household membership. This membership fee includes a monthly newsletter with all of the Club's trips and activities (hopefully you'll elect to have the newsletter e-mailed = save a tree and a postage stamp), the use of some of the Club's outdoor gear such as backpacks, canoe, etc, etc.
I know it's a little chilly tonight, but the best time to go on the outdoor trips is before the beastly heat of late spring. I hope to see you on a future trip.
Several monthly trips are planned for exploring and appreciating nature by: kayaking, canoeing, backpacking and day hikes, biking, snorkeling, car camping and wilderness camping. We have monthly meetings with special guest speakers and other social events, (most involving delicious food/snacks). These events are run by the Palm Beach Pack and Paddle Club. You may want to join Palm Beach Pack and Paddle Club to take full advantage of all that we have to offer. Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month in the Nature Center in Okeeheelee Park. Our Conservation Committee raises funds to send children to a week long summer nature camp and also makes donations to local organizations that help to preserve our unique Florida environment.
