Happy New Year Wine Lovers!!

We are starting 2013 with a wonderful boutique winery from Santa Barbara. Rusack Vineyards.

Nestled in picturesque Ballard Canyon in the center of Santa Ynez Valley, amidst oak-studded rolling hills lies Rusack Vineyards, a boutique vineyard and winery dedicated to growing top-quality grapes and producing outstanding handcrafted wines.

Rusack Vineyards was established in 1995 by Geoff Rusack and Alison Wrigley Rusack with a commitment to creating world-class wines. As well as the estate vineyards, Rusack Vineyards continues to source classic varietal grapes from the some of the best vineyards in the area including neighbor vineyards in the Santa Ynez Valley appellation and Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the Santa Rita Hills and the Santa Maria Valley.

In this small operation, the wines truly are made by hand, and the Rusacks’ commitment to quality is reflected in everything they do from the meticulous growing of their grapes to the distinctive design of their label.

Winery representative Dan Reid will be on hand to entertain us with stories of the winery, vineyard and his very deep voice and handsome face.

The Wine Room will be pouring:

2010 Chardonnay, Santa Barbara County
2008 Pinot Noir, Santa Maria
2009 Syrah Ballard Canyon Estate

Please go to the bar when you arrive and let the staff know you are here for the Tasting Event. The Wine Room's event will start at 5:00pm. our group starts at 6:00. I will be there early so come whenever you want.

Great group and an intro to a very fine winery. Don't miss trying this - chard is classy and sure to please, a fine example of Pinot and an excellent Syrah were included in the flight. Put Rusack on your wine radar!
