As people interested in personal growth, we are told to focus on what we DO want, instead of what we don’t want. This definitely works…except when it doesn’t. I spent years trying to pretend I didn’t have fears our doubts, and I wound up subtly frustrated all the time. Or worse, I’d make myself wrong for having “negative” emotions, which just makes them stick around longer, since what we resist persists. Its one thing to “know” this, and another thing to actually hold a loving space for ourselves when triggered, and access the wisdom/guidance underneath.

I’ve been on a personal growth path for 12 years, but none of the tools I’d studied prepared me to handle the emotions that came up as my marriage was falling apart. I “knew” to be empathic and understanding, and yet I’d continue to get triggered and start fighting. None of the tools I’d learned worked on their own, so I synergized my own technique and used it every day. I learned to “be with” emotions, with full presence, letting them move through me like the weather, and connecting with the love/guidance underneath. And then my ex and I had loving conversations, developed a supportive friendship while we were still married, and decided together that we work better as friends. We still cuddle and give each other emotional support on a regular basis.

I've practiced these tools with many of my coaching clients too, and its been instrumental in achieving their goals. In this experiential workshop, I’ll teach tools to transform “negative” emotions into deeper self-awareness and positive fuel for harmonious action.
