On September 27th, beginning at 3pm Sturges Paranormal will present a full day of paranormal lectures. Stacy Horn will kick off the day giving a talk based on her latest book, "Unbelievable: Investigations into Ghosts, Poltergeists, Telepathy and other Unseen Phenomena from the Duke Parapsychology Laboratory." After an intermission for people to run out, strectch their legs or get a quick something, world renowned parapsychologist and legend in the paranormal field, Loyd Auerbach, will be speaking on the topic, "Psychical Research Today: In Life, Lab and the Media". Loyd will discuss some of the latest trends in research, talk about how and what parapsychological research has to say/applies to field investigations (those pesky ghost hunters) and to the models of apparitions, hauntings and poltergeists as well as general psychic experiences, and comment on the level of (lack of) science or even good psychic models in paranormal TV shows.
