Dr. Smita Garg led our Young Writers and Illustrators on a group challenge: using 3 completely unrelated images, create a story line that makes sense! The images included a dancing groundhog/weasel, a girl running with a dog, and a boy magnifying an ant. It was an excellent problem solving and creativity game. See our photos for some of the results.

Really had fun watching the kids make sense of the unrelated pictures! Fantastic to see them weave all three pics into a story that made sense.

Thank you everyone for another fun workshop! And, a hearty round of applause goes to Dr. Smita Garg who presented the direction for the workshop! Each group collaborated to brainstorm, draw, and re-tell their own version of the story. The writers were encouraged to add two new illustrations to complete a logic sequence. In the end, all of the stories were brilliant! I love that some students were writing their own personal versions too!

See you at the next workshop!
    Keep writing!
    Have fun and make mistakes!
