Hello ! I am a Canadian designer/jeweller/go
ldsmith living in Paris since 1994. I have an atelier/ boutique in Montmartre.
Why does Paris please you?
It is endlessly charming.
What's your favourite place in Paris (and why)?
Montmartre; as it has retained some of it's early 19th century 'village' aspect, despite the tourists.
How does Paris inspire you creatively?
Let me count the ways.
What is your defining 'Paris moment' if you have one?
Any night, winter or summer, crossing the Pont Neuf and seeing the view down the Seine lit up in it's evening colours.

Q: If you could have lived your life in Paris during any epoche, which would you choose ? A: It is a toss-up between under Louix XIV and Francois 1ere, but I think in the end (as I work in a luxury goods profession), it would be extremely interesting to have the experience of living during the epoche that created the very first luxury goods and marketing industries, which was under Louis XIV and Colbert.
