Sufi fusion Concert

  • Oct 13, 2012 · 6:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

The humble and modest Indian Sufi singer Mukhtiyar Ali and the french composer Mathias Duplessy present 'Jeena Jeena' a fusion between traditional Rajasthani music, flamenco, blues, reggae and more.

Mukhtiyar Ali's performance is similar to the Qawali made famous by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
1st part presents 'Sufiana Qalam' which are wonderful devotional songs of Kabir.

And in the 2nd part Mukhtiyar Ali is accompanied by Mathias Duplessy a french composer and a multi instrumentalist.

A preview of their compositions:

A concert which is sure to transport you to 'another' world.

Event details: http://www.quaibranly.fr/fr/programmation/spectacles-et-concerts/salons-de-musique/salons-de-musique-de-septembre-a-decembre-2012.html

We could hangout at a bar after the concert.

See you all there!

Cheers

The Sufi Concert is this evening at 6pm in a museum. You need to purchase/buy entrance tickets to the museum which cost 8.5 euros. You can visit the museum as well if you arrive a little earlier... Places are limited and there is no advance reservation. For all other clarifications I can be contacted @[masked]
