Friday's ParisFilmCrew: what happened

From: David

hi all,

Friday went well. One group of 3 from May [I thought there were 4? but noone ever wrote in to confirm that] showed a rough cut [I showed something I did on my own, it's in the vimeo group if you are curious]. Anyway, that's how it starts.

There are several new groups.

Ramakant [director]/Franziska [script]/ Sev [camera]/Anna Verma [actress]/ Malliga [actress]

Julie Guetta [director]/ Darren [script]/ Marius [camera]/Louise [actress]/ Priscilla [actress]

Heidy [director] /Isabelle [script] / Amine [camera]/ Michel [actor] / Chantal [actress]

there are some floaters, ie some people who want to be involved in a project:

thomas: script

ryan: camera, enthusiastic, only available in July

salvadore : director [first time]

heidy: script [already on another project]

diego : script

solveig: actress [already on another project]

aline: actress [I haven't heard back whether she is really available for the summer]

wow, so that's a lot of action.

Remember the rules....

keep the film short, so it is doable. 3-4 minutes is my suggestion. Go longer once you get to know people.

Limit the number of locations. Prepare to bring your own sandwich.

Most important: respect other's time. If you are an organizer, don't make people show up to do nothing. If you are a participant, show up on time. Keep the project short and managable.

If you want to drop out of a project, do, but in a respectful fashion, ie don't walk off the damn set. Help find your replacement, in a timely fashion,

so let's screen some films in sept.

There should be a meetup in August as well, working on it, but no screenings.

see y'all,

David
