Quentin - a quaker and Cliffie - a cockatiel. Our "twins" hatched on the same day (our breeder gave us their thumbnail-sized eggs), and, while not best friends, are flockmates who call back and forth to each other when in separate rooms. Quentie is an outgoing, cuddly, talkative Quaker with a singing voice like Louis Armstrong's, and spends most of his time building nests in his cage; while Cliffie spends her time fearlessly exploring, listening to Mozart, and napping on Daddy's chest.
We are a couple living in Washington, and loving parents of a quaker and a cockatiel. We love meeting others who understand how brilliant, delightful, and multi-faceted our avian pals are.
I found it not only educational and a great venue for sharing concerns, but a really fun social event. Cat and dog people abound, but it is not as easy to find others who understand the tremendous rewards of loving and caring for our charming and fascinating parrot pals. I thank Jaime and Bryan for initiating it, and welcome the opportunity to meet more "parrot parents."
