A group for musicians, songwriters, lyricists and other musically related artists interested in writing songs regularly and receiving constructive criticism and feedback from a group of musical peers. Members should have some level of ability and experience on an instrument or with vocals or lyrics so you feel comfortable performing (informally) for the group monthly. How it works: It's a little like an informal open mic night. Each month, we get together and each of us take a turn to share a song we've written in our own style - on a theme we chose the month before. For instance, The Month of February, the theme is "Valentines" or whatever that means to you - so, those of us who met last month will share our new songs. New folks can just share ANY song of theirs this time around, so we can hear their style. Then we all offer feedback, ideas, constructive criticism, etc. We can jam if we end early on any of the songs we feel like playing around with as a group. Its fun, supportive, a great way to practice performing in a constructive and safe environment of fellow artists - and we welcome all levels and instruments! Hope you will join us!
