We’ve done a few white water rafting trips over the last couple of years (see George Liu’s video from our 2010 trip) and one of my favorite operations is offering a half-off discount again for rafting on the Wenatchee River! That’s $35 instead of $70. You have until just before midnight on Saturday, May 5th to get this discount. Get your specials at one of the links below (you can buy up to 7):

After speaking to Orion, it looks like the rapids will be running strong to mid-June so I’ve set the date for June 10th. Update 6/6: I’ve change to the 1pm meeting time instead of noon. Follow the instructions below to get your spot. Your RSVP on Meetup is not enough.
Steps to sign up for this event:
1) Purchase your deal via one of the links above (quantities limited) or pay full price directly from Orion River Expeditions,
2) Contact Orion[masked] [masked]). Busy? Call[masked] to reserve your spot (for June 10th, 1pm under Meetup),
3) RSVP here to let us know you’re going.
If you miss the deal or don’t want to take advantage of it (it’s your choice), you can still join us.
FYI the price includes: Comfortable farmerjohn wetsuit & boots, shuttle at river, user fees, all necessary river gear and, of course, professional and personable river guides. If you have any questions about the rafting trip, please contact Orion directly.
The Wenatchee River is 16 miles of flat water punctuated with Class III whitewater rapids—making it well suited for rookie paddlers and experienced galley slaves alike. The rafting trip will be about 3.5-4 hours. If you need to bring food along to eat on the river, you can. Plan to be back in the Seattle area around 7:30pm or so.
This is will be a multi-meetup event - you may get this announcement more than once if you are in the other invited groups. If there are any motorcycle riders out there, contact me if you want to join me and other Meetup riders for a fun and twisty route to Cashmere. Should be a fun mix of people and a great time!
Lunch/Brunch is not included. You are on our own for lunch. I suggest either bringing food for a picnic lunch at the park or break up into smaller groups to lunch at local restaurant since there aren't a lot of places open around there on Sunday which can accommodate the size of our entire group (just posted and already have 20 signed up). Whatever you decide, be sure to arrive at the meeting point by 12:45pm. Don’t be late!!
Carpooling: Use the comments to arrange for carpooling. You can also check the comments on the other invited groups, some offers and arrangements are already posted: Eastside Social Club, 40 Something Club, Seattle Singles, Urban on a Budget, Passport To Seattle, Discover Seattle Activity Group, Seattle Out and About.
