#4-17: Tower of the Ironwood Watch (5-9)

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for levels 5–9.

On the edge of Varisia's Mierani Forest stand the ruins of an ancient guardtower that once served as the native elves' first line of defense against the threat of invasion from the bordering Thassilonian realm of Envy. Just as the elves fled Golarion to avoid the destruction of Earthfall, so too did they leave behind the Tower of the Ironwood Watch, which the Pathfinder Society now hopes to explore—a task that could prove more dangerous than anyone anticipates.

Event reporting for this meetup is complete. Let me know if anyone is having issues seeing their report, but I think everyone should be good to go.

Mark I'll have all of the pregens with me, so you can borrow the monk one for the session. Just make sure you bring your PFS# with you for the reporting sheet

Can I play a pre gen character as mine is not high enough for this game

Yes. You can use the credit and apply it to your character later. If you havent yet go to the main paizo site and register for a pfs number so your play credit can be reported. You can also see the available pregens

Given the somewhat unpredictable nature of the roads across MD, and the fact that it might be more dangerous getting home after a lot of the roads refreeze, I'm going to postpone this game until 2 weeks from now. I'm going to unsign all attendees, if you can play under the new date, feel free to sign up again!

As of right now, Games and Stuff is having a delayed opening. Their opening time will depend on the weather, so they may just stay closed. I'm about 90% convinced the event should be postponed for two weeks from today, but I want some others to weigh in. If anybody is remotely worried about driving, let me know. A game (no matter how incredibly exciting the games I run are) is not worth getting injured (in real life) over.

A good rule tends to be if you have to ask for safety reason its best to just side with better safe than sorry. I'm fine with delaying it. I was going to see how the weather was closer to time though but I have no idea how far some have to go for this.

Should I create a character before coming or would you rather I do it there?

I'm pretty familiar with it. I've never done one of these sessions, though.

As Chris mentioned, Pathfinder Society organized play differs from traditional homegrown campaigns in many ways. Read the Quick Start Guide in the meetup's posted files, and that two page document will give you a feel for how organized play works. If you're still interested, then it's time to read up on the full Guide to Organized Play that Chris linked. You'll need a Paizo.com account and also a Pathfinder Society ID Number to keep track of your characters for reporting purposes.

    Hey guys,

Just a heads up that due to the weather this game MAY get cancelled. I'm actually betting that we won't see much actual snow at all, but just in case, keep your eyes on the meetup comments here and I'll post if I decide to cancel (the decision may be heavily dependent on whether or not the store is also open or closed). If you don't see anything mentioned here for the cancellation then assume the game is on!

If anybody ends up not being able to make it due to weather and travel please changer your RSVP here as soon as you know you won't be able to make it.
