I'm new to Pathfinder Society, so is there anything in particular that I need to know to join a game during the convention.

Staff will also be available to look at your character (if you already have one) and make sure that it correctly made and legal for Society play. You can do this before you sit down at the gaming table. Also, if you already have a PFS number you should know it or have it with you.

Complete info is at. Following "Getting Started" will allow you to download the Guide to PFS PDF. Don't feel you need to digest it all to get started though.

If you have played any role-playing game before you will have 9/10's of the particular knowledge you need the rest is the rule book and since it is a d20 based system it is fairly simple to learn the mechanics. Beyond that just come on out and be prepared to have some fun.
