December 14th is going to be a big day for us. This is a 3 EVENT day. First is the Wreaths across America event. This is a National event hosted here by the U.S. Military Vets M/C, where we lay wreaths on fallen veterans grave stones; this happens all across the state and the country at the same time.
We will meet at the Rest Stop on the northbound side of I-75 (north of Hwy 56/south of Hwy 54) at 8:00 am, were we will regroup and have KSU from there at 8:15 am for the ride to the Wal-Mart Transportation Office in Brooksville 5100 Kettering Road (off Hwy 50). Then at 9:30 am we will join many other fellow bikers for a Police Escorted ride to Bushnell National Cemetery. Once at Bushnell, we will participate with hundreds of other riders/patriotic americans in honoring our fallen. Please try to park together, so we can account for everyone when we depart.
When the Bushnell ceremony is over and the wreaths are laid, we will stage at the Bushnell cemetery exit for a 1:30 pm KSU for a ride back down to Tampa, where we will lead (yes lead) the motorcycle procession for 1.5 miles into Veterans Memorial park (located on Hwy 301 / MLK). The motorcycle procession has a KSU of 2:30 pm. There we will partake in the Iraq Veterans Memorial Dedication ceremony and Patriotic Rider brick unveiling.
Please bring a chair if possible, there will be limited seating available.
And - At 7:00 pm, in Ybor City, there is the annual "Snow on 7th". This is a great opportunity to ride in the snow and not be cold. Plan is to head to this directly from the Veterans Park and literally ride through the snow. See flyer attached in this email.
